I’m a little late but it’s now time to vote for the March Picture of The Month. Here is what you can choose:

According to various sources, Melinda is likely to make her debut as Kelly Donovan on the episode 1.15 of The Vampire Diaries. Information on the title, plot and air date of the episode have yet to be announced. In the meantime, you can get some tibits about Melinda’s character below:

Kelly Donovan is Matt and Vicki Donovan’s irresponsible, hard-drinking absentee mother. Matt says he cannot rely on his mother. She went to high school with Elizabeth Forbes. She spends most of her time in Virginia Beach with her boyfriend, a tucker named Pete.

Also, Julie Plec, who is one the executive producers of the show, has wrote something on her twitter that could confirm Melinda’s appearance on episode 1.15. You can see it here.

EW’s Michael Ausiello just announced that Melinda’s character will have a thing for vampires as well and that she will hook up with none other than Ian Somerhalder’s Damon. We also learn that her first episode is set to air on March 25 so we’ll have to wait and see. Read the full article here.

What a great news to start the year with! According to EW’s Michael Ausiello, Melinda has been cast on the CW’s The Vampire Diaries. She will appear in at least three episodes starting this March.

Julie Cooper’s comin’ to Mystic Falls!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Vampire Diaries has tapped the inimitable Melinda Clarke (The O.C., CSI) to play Kelly Donovan, Matt’s irresponsible, hard-drinking absentee mother.

How rotten is this woman? She didn’t even bother to show up to her own daughter’s funeral. (In other words, my kind of gal!)

I’m told Clark’s scenery-chewing boozehound will blow into town in March and stick around for at least three episodes.

Memo to Kevin Williamson: Let’s get that series regular paperwork started now!
